RYDER ENGLAND: Surfer, Philanthropist, and Van Connoisseur
As a jack-of-all-trades surfer, Ryder England applied his skills as a carpenter, craftsman, and mechanic to create a custom-built, tiny-home-on-wheels. We were lucky enough to meet Ryder at last year's Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Denver, and got him in a pair of our 2-in-1 wetsuit-lined Seafoam Drifties™ that he swears by whenever he's in the water (which is quite often).
When he's not modifying his 1982 Toyota Chinook pickup into a minimalist dream home on wheels, with a hat collection to make your jaw drop, Ryder's philanthropic efforts with Foster The Earth – a non-profit helping foster & at-risk youth through wilderness trips – shows why he loves life outdoors in the San Diego surf enclave of Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
